NIU is Set to Launch the Anticipated RQi Electric Motorcycle this Year

NIU plans to release the first version of its highly anticipated RQi electric motorcycle later this year, according to electrek. The electric motorcycle will officially launch first in China and enter the market in the second half of 2021.

A lower-spec version of the electric motorcycle will debut first, offering a 5 Kw or 6.7 hp motor and 100 km/h top speed, with a boost function offering a sprint of up to 110 km/h.

The initial version of the RQi will include a pair of removable 72V 36Ah battery packs for a combined capacity of 5.2 kWh.

NIU’s full spec RQi is still in the works and will follow initial lower spec model

A version of the RQi will be homologated for Europe by the beginning of 2022, in time to reach NIU dealers in Europe by spring 2022, with U.S rollout following. NIU stock is currently declining. NIU: NASDAQ is down 1.82%
