(Nintendo.com) Nintendo has unveiled a new Switch game console with a more colorful and brighter OLED screen.
The new version of Switch game console will retail at $349.99 starting on October 8, a premium cost to $299.99 for standard Switch, as well as $199.999 for the Switch Lite.
The launch comes when there is a boom for gaming during the pandemic, amid chip shortages that have hit the industry.
The Switch console comes with double the storage capacity of the regular model and can be expanded with a memory card.
The Switch console also has a kickstand design to enhance stability, although it lacks support for 4K content.
Nintendo sold about 28.8 million consoles in the year to March and projects a further 25.5 million sales this year.
