LUNA 2 rallied more than 48% on Tuesday after the newly minted Luna token was listed on the leading crypto exchange Binance.
The listing came after Binance completed the airdrop distribution of Terra Classic $LUNC and TerraClassicUSD $USTC holders.
The jump in Luna 2 token comes after it attracted at least $850 million in trade volume in the last 24 hours ahead of the airdrop and listing.
Other exchanges, including KuCoin and ByBit, supported the airdrop of the newly minted Luna token, having been the first to list it over the weekend.
The new token was launched on Terra’s new blockchain dubbed Terra 2. This followed the de-peg of algorithmic stablecoin TerraUSD or UST.
Investors affected by the depeg of UST or LUNA and those who acquired either asset were airdropped with the new token.
The old Luna token still traded at a low level of $$0.0002. The token was rebranded to Luna classic or LUNC.
LUNA 2 is up 48.73%.
