(NewYorkFed) The index of general business conditions in New York State was 30.9 in November, an improvement of 11 points from the previous month. 43% of firms reported improved conditions, with only 12% saying activity had declined.
New orders index was up by five points to 28.8, while shipments gauge ticked higher by nineteen points to 28.2. Unfilled orders index fell to 12.7.
The index tracking delivery times remained high at 32.2, while inventories rose only marginally.
Employees numbers rose at a record, with the index up nine points to reach 26.0.
Inflation increased, with the prices received index rising seven points to a record high of 50.8, while prices paid index was 83.0, up by four points.
Firms remained less upbeat in the next six months, with the future business conditions index down by fifteen points to a low of 36.9.
