Meta’s Threads Surpasses 50 Million Signups in Just One Day

Although these numbers are impressive on their own, they may actually be much higher. Quiver Quantative estimated that the user count on Threads has already surpassed 70 million. By utilizing the account numbers displayed on Instagram pages, Quiver Quantative generated these figures.

Meta has not yet provided an official comment on this remarkable achievement.

Rising Stock and Favorable Market Environment

In response to Threads’ success, Meta’s stock experienced a 0.1% rise on Friday. This positive momentum contrasts with a 2.4% decline during Thursday’s session.

Paolo Pescatore, a technology analyst at PP Foresight, believes that now is the perfect time to introduce a rival platform to Twitter. He points out that despite the excitement surrounding other social media platforms, there hasn’t been a true contender to challenge Twitter’s dominance. Pescatore adds, “Since Elon Musk took over, Twitter has been on a rollercoaster ride.”

Undoubtedly, this launch will only add more intrigue and excitement to the ongoing Musk and Twitter saga. The discontent among users clearly highlights the demand for a genuine alternative.
