Market Update

U.S. futures for the S&P 500 surged 0.5% and futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.4%. It’s worth noting that changes in futures do not always indicate movements after the opening bell.

European Market

In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 experienced a mild decline of 0.3% during morning trading. However, DocMorris saw an impressive climb of 12.8%, while Assura added 3.7%. On the other hand, both Indutrade and S4 Capital experienced losses of 3%. The FTSE 100 also lost 0.2%. French CAC 40 declined by 0.4%, and Germany’s DAX dropped 0.3%.

Currency and Commodities

The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index showed a slight drop of 0.1%, reaching 96.76.

In commodities, Brent crude witnessed a small gain of 0.2% and reached $79.88 per barrel, while WTI crude rose by 0.1% to $74.28 per barrel.

Bond Yields

The German 10-year Bund yield fell by 1 basis point and stood at 1.964%, compared to the previous rate of 1.973%. Meanwhile, the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury saw an increase of 2 basis points, rising to 3.868% from the previous rate of 3.848%. It’s important to note that bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.

Asian Stocks

Asian stocks displayed mixed results, as Japan’s Nikkei 225 index fell 1.6%, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng remained flat. On the other hand, China’s benchmark Shanghai Composite gained a noteworthy increase of 0.6%.
