Manufactured Goods Orders Cools to a 0.2% Increase in September

(Census Bureau) New orders for manufactured goods in the US increased by 0.2% or $1.3 billion from August to reach $515.9 billion in September. The orders had risen by 1.0% in August.

Shipments rose by 0.6% or $3.2 billion to $511.5 billion, a higher increase compared to 0.1% in August.

Unfilled orders rose for the eighth straight month by 0.7% or $8.9 billion to $1,247 billion. The orders had risen by 0.9% in August,

Inventories were up by 0.8% or $6.3 billion to $756.9 billion, a higher increase compared to 07% in August.
