Interactive Brokers Launches Crypto Trading for US Clients at Low Fees

(IBKR) Interactive Brokers Group has launched cryptocurrency trading via Paxos Trust Company. The trading carries low fees of as little as 0.12% to 0.18% on trade value, with $1.75 minimum per order.

Through Paxos, Interactive Brokers’ clients will be able to trade and hold custody of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash, alongside other asset classes on the platform.

The crypto trading will carry no custody fees, added spreads, or markups.

Interactive CEO Milan Galik says the brokerage firm wants to meet growing investor demand for crypto trading and other asset classes.

Galik cites the benefits and convenience of centralized trading offered by Interactive Brokers on a single platform in the crypto service.

The crypto trading will be initially available to US residents. The brokerage firm seeks to launch crypto trading for additional types of clients.

IBKR: NASDAQ closed down -0.99% on Monday.
