HSBC Holdings plc (HSBC) will delist its shares from Euronext Paris on December 22, 2020, following approval by the Euronext Paris S.A., according to the company’s press release. HSBC’s decision to delist was taken following a review of the trading volumes, costs, and administrative requirements relating to listing on Euronext Paris.
- A sales facility procedure will be created from November 27, 2020, to December 18, 2020, to allow existing shareholders to sell on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) HSBC shares listed on Euronext Paris and held in the Euroclear France clearing system.
- HSBC’s delisting have no impact on the company’s day-to-day operations in France or Continental Europe, and the bank plans to be a leading international bank in the region
- Delisting on Euronext Paris has no impact on HSBC’s other listings on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, the New York Stock Exchange, or the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
