(HPC) Hewlett Packard Enterprise and SiPearl have partnered to accelerate the adoption of exascale computing systems in Europe.
The companies are expected to jointly develop an end-to-end supercomputing technology combining HPE’s supercomputing solutions to meet the next generation’s requirements in performance and scale.
The cooperation between HPE and SiPearl is part of the greater effort that started in late 2018 in Europe for the development of pre-exascale and exascale supercomputers in the continent.
European countries are seeking to fuel open science initiatives that impact humans in the areas of climate modeling and sustainability and drug discoveries.
HPC & AI, HPE executive VP, and general manager say the exascale era is critical in reaching critical breakthroughs in science and technology. The technologies are also critical in achieving Europe’s digital sovereignty.
