(Gevo) Gevo Inc. has entered into a fuel supply deal with Kolmar Americas Inc., running into 45 million gallons per year.
The fuel, involving renewable and energy-dense liquid hydrogens, will be produced from Gevo’s Net-Zero 2 facility. Deliveries represent the entire output at the plant.
The deal also includes sustainable aviation fuel and Isooctane, a key ingredient of renewable premium gasoline.
Gevo says the agreement with Kolmar demonstrates the company’s continuing diversification of its partner base as it moves to establish a global footprint.
Kolmar CEO Dr. Patrick R. Gruber says the deal confirms that the company is investing in the future, with further benefits to its investors and the environment.
Following the deal, Gevo’s Net-Zero 2 plant would generate about $300 million per year in revenues and up to $350 million, including corn oil and protein co-product sales. The revenue is projected to reach $2.8 billion over the eight years of the agreement.
