Eurozone Economic Sentiment in Dec. at the Lowest Since April on Covid Fears

(Sentix) The economic index gauging the current situation in the Eurozone was recorded at 13.5 in December, the lowest since April and a fall from 18.3 in November.

The decline in the economic sentiment reflects concerns of “mid-cycle slowdown,” with tightened Covid variant measures dampening the outlook.

In Germany, the economic sentiment was down for the fifth time in a row to touch its lowest since March.

Despite the declining economic sentiment, expectations are stable, with projections that future situations could improve marginally.

DAX is up +0.69%, EURUSD is down -0.08%.
