eBay’s Annual Active Sellers Grow by 5% in Q2 as Revenue Surges to $2.7 Billion

(eBay) eBay’s annual active sellers grew by 5% to hit 19 million by global numbers even as the company announced a commitment to embracing next-gen technology to grow its user base.

The net additions in active sellers on eBay helped the e-commerce giant grow revenues by 14% year over year to $2.7 billion.

GAAP net income from continuing operations reached $294 million or $0.43 per diluted share, down from $689 million in the same period of 2020.

Gross merchandise volume went down by 7% to hit $22.1 billion.

Annual active buyers fell by 2% to a total of 159 million across the globe.

eBay’s board expanded its share repurchase authorization by a further $3 billion.
