DocuSign Registers a 50% Revenue Jump in Q2 on Subscription Gains

(DocuSign) DocuSign posted revenue of $511.8 million in the second quarter of 2022, a 50% increase from the prior year’s comparable quarter.

DocuSign’s revenue was boosted by subscription revenue that rose 52% year over year to $492.8 million. Professional services and other revenues rose 3% year over year to $19.1 million.

Gross margin rose to 78% in the quarter, from 74% in the comparable period of last year. 

GAAP net loss per basic and diluted EPS reduced to $0.13, from a loss per share of $0.35 in the same period of last year.

DocuSign now projects revenue of $526 billion —  $532 million in the third quarter. Subscription revenue is expected to rise further to $505 billion —  $511 million. 

The company expects a non-GAAP gross margin of 79% in the third quarter, with an operating margin of 17%.

FY22 revenue is projected to be between $2.078 billion —  2.088 billion. Subscription revenue is expected in the range of $1.995 billion —  $2.005 billion.

FY22, non-GAAP gross margin is expected in the range of 79%-81%. The operating margin is projected to be 16%-18%.
