Several users reported unauthorized withdrawals from their accounts, prompting the platform to act and assuring the safety of funds.
The Singapore-based crypto platform says the issue is currently being investigated, with no exact date being given for the resumption of withdrawals.
The suspicious activity is a blow to Crypto.com which had a busy last year, including a deal to rename the Staples Center in Los Angeles into the Crypto.com Arena.
Crypto.com had more than 14 million neobank clients as of 2021 and was ranked the seventh most popular neobank in Asian Pacific.
The latest development highlights the vulnerabilities facing the crypto sector, with legislators using the excuse of the risks to support potential moves to outlaw the sector.
