Crude Inventories Increase by 3.3M Barrels but Refinery Inputs Fall

(EIA) US crude oil inventories rose by 3.3 million barrels in the week that ended October 29 to reach 434.1 million barrels.

Refinery inputs fell by 25,000 bpd, to average 15.0 million bpd in the week to October 29, with refineries operating at 86.3% capacity.

Gasoline production ticked higher to an average of 10.2 million bpd, while distillate fuel production rose to an average of 4.8 million bpd.

Overall crude imports in the US fell by 83,000 bpd to an average of 6.2 million bpd. On a four-week average, crude imports rose 14.9% year over year to 6.1 million bpd.

Total products supplied in the last four weeks are now 7.9% higher than the prior year, averaging 20.4 million bpd in the month to October 29.
