Covid-Battered Boeing Sold 28 Airplanes in July as Domestic Demand Crawls Back

(Reuters) Planemaker Boeing delivered 28 airplanes to its customers in July, with the revival of domestic travel, with 787 inventories still on hold for a fourth month due to defects.

The Aerospace Company is yet to rebound from losses incurred during the pandemic and the 737 MAX safety scandal.

Boeing reported having received orders of 31 aircraft in July, out of which 19 are 737 MAX jets, and 12 are for its bigger widebodies.

Boeing has only delivered 154,737 MAXs since the airplane was reinstated in November 2020 after nearly a 2-year ban following fatal plane crashes.

The planemaker delivered 184 jetliners in the year up to July.

Boeing unveiled that its backlog reduced to 4,141 airplanes in July, from 4,155 at the end of June.
