Commercial Metals Company Grows Earnings by 140% in Q3 2022

(CMC) Commercial Metals Company reported net earnings of $312.4 million in the third quarter of 2022, up 140% from the prior year.

Earnings per share was reported at $2.54 in the third quarter, up from $1.06 per share in the prior year. 

The company said its core EBITDA rose by 110% from the prior year to $483.9 million. The company achieved $1.4 billion of Core EBITDA over the trailing 12 months. 

The total sales of the company were reported at $2.516 billion in the third quarter, an increase from $2.009 billion in the previous quarter. 

CMC reiterated that its strong financial performance would continue in the next quarter. The company said that major product lines remain in robust demand, which is expected to persist in the fourth quarter.
