Coinbase Faults SEC Over Ripple Lawsuit Triggering Speculation of a Possible Relisting

(Twitter) Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has expressed support for Ripple in its lawsuit with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Armstrong tweeted that the case was moving better than expected. He said that attacks on the crypto industry were unpopular and damaging to investors.

America’s largest crypto exchange CEO tweeted that it was ironic that the commission was going against the people it should be protecting.

Armstrong’s sentiments have raised speculation that Coinbase could be considering relisting XRP. The platform suspended the crypto following the case on January 19.

Armstrong had earlier called out the regulator for threatening it with a lawsuit over its lending offering, saying that the commission should be replaced with a crypto-centric regulator.

XRPUSD is up +1.95%.
