China’s Passenger Car Sales Slump in November, Tesla’s China-Made Sales at 52,859

(Reuters) Sales of China-made vehicles by Tesla were 52,859 in November, with 21,127 designated for export.

Tesla’s sales in November are a decline from October when the company sold 54,391 China-made vehicles, with 40,666 being exported. 

Tesla rival Nio sold a record 10,878 cars in November, while XPeng sales were 15,613. Volkswagen sold more than 14,000 EVs in China the same month.

Overall, the sales of passenger cars in China fell 12.5% from the prior year to 1.85 million in November.
