Bookings Holdings Reports 243% Jump in Revenue in Q2 Amid a Net Loss

(Booking Holdings) Booking Holdings Inc. recorded a revenue of $2.2 billion, a 243% rise from the comparable quarter of 2020.

Bookings had a net loss of $167 million in the quarter, from a net income of $122 million in the comparable quarter of 2020.

Net loss per diluted common share was $4.08 in the second quarter, down from a net income of $2.97 per share in the second quarter of 2020.

Bookings’ net loss was fueled by a $242 million early extinguishment of debt in the second quarter.

Booked travel services, net of cancellations, rose by 852% from the previous quarter to hit $22 billion.

Room nights booked rose by 458% in the second quarter from the previous quarter.
