(BNY Mellon) The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation reported total revenues of $3.9 billion in the first quarter of 2022, unchanged compared to the prior year.
Excluding the impacts of exposure to Russia, BNY Mellon’s revenue grew by 2% from the prior year.
The bank reported total fee revenue of $3.16 billion in the first quarter, down by 3% from the prior year. Investment and other revenue were $70 million, compared to $9 million in the prior year.
The bank reported a net income of $765 million in the first quarter of the year, a decline of 18% from the previous year. EPS was $0.86 in the first quarter, down 11% from the prior year.
BNY Mellon said it repurchased 1.9 million common shares for $18 million. It also announced dividends of $278 million to common shareholders.
Assets under custody rose 9% to $45.5 trillion, while the assets under management rose 2% to $2.3 trillion.
