(IntoTheBlock) There were about 40.25 million Bitcoin holding addresses as of March 24, the highest level on record.
The record BTC holding addresses comes when the cryptocurrency has staged a massive rally, reclaiming a price above $45,000 on Friday.
The number of BTC addresses has also grown in tandem with exchange balances, with around $2.7 billion worth of the crypto currency leaving exchanges in only 15 days.
The holdings underline growing interest in Bitcoin after the addresses fell in February.
BTC has now reclaimed a market cap of $853.5 billion, after posting more than 10% gains in the last seven days. The rise has also been replicated across the entire crypto sector, which now carry a total market value of above $2 trillion.
