Apple’s Fall Product Event Set for Sept. 12

Apple Inc. has announced that its highly anticipated fall product event will take place on Sept. 12. The event is expected to showcase the company’s latest lineup of smartphones.

Once again, Apple is likely to introduce four iPhone models at the event, including two Pro versions and two regular devices. According to MacRumors, the screen sizes will remain the same, with options of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches in each category.

One question on everyone’s mind is the pricing for the iPhone 15 line. Last year, Apple surprised consumers by not raising prices on its new phones, possibly due to pressure on consumer budgets. However, reports from Bloomberg News and others suggest that Apple may be more inclined to increase prices this year.

Amit Daryanani, an analyst from Evercore ISI, predicts that the iPhone 15 will be more of an evolutionary product rather than a revolutionary one. It is speculated that Apple will bring its Dynamic Island design to the base-level iPhones after introducing it to the Pro models last season as an alternative to the disliked notch.

In addition, Apple users may need to make room in their junk drawers as there are reports that the company plans to replace the Lightning cable with USB-C connectors. There may also be some minor cosmetic changes, such as smaller bezels on Pro models to increase screen space, and the use of titanium instead of stainless steel on the edges of the phone.

According to Daryanani, stainless steel is prone to fingerprints, hence the potential switch to titanium.

The event will also unveil the Apple Watch Series 9, although MacRumors suggests that it will be an iterative update with improvements in speed and possibly a pink color option.

The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

Don’t miss out on Apple’s fall product event, as Apple is currently regarded as the most ‘under-owned’ big tech stock among large investors, which could be a positive sign for its future prospects.
