(Ambarella) Ambarella Inc. reported revenues of $92.2 million in the third quarter of 2022, an increase of 64% from the prior fiscal year’s quarter.
Revenue in the nine months to the third quarter was $241.6 million, an increase of 50% from the prior year.
The gross margin in the third quarter was 62.5%, up from 62.0% posted in the comparable period of fiscal 2021. The nine-month margin was 62.4%, up from 60.8% in the prior year.
Net profit for the third quarter was $0.8 million or $0.02 earnings per share, up from a loss of $17.1 million or -$0.49 EPS in the comparable period of fiscal 2021. Net loss in the nine-month period narrowed to $17.2 million or -$0.47 EPS from $47.3 million or $1.37 EPS in the prior year.
Ambarella now projects a revenue range of $88.5 million and $91.5 million in Q4 2022. Non-GAAP gross margin is expected at 63% to 64%.
