Amazon.com Inc. closed at $153.34, representing a decrease of 0.05%. This marked the stock’s third consecutive day of losses, highlighting a slight downturn in its performance.

Shy of 52-Week High

As of December 20th, Amazon.com Inc. hit its 52-week high at $155.63, but currently closed $2.29 below that mark.

Mixed Performance Compared to Competitors

On the same trading day, some of Amazon’s top competitors experienced mixed results. Apple Inc. saw a small increase of 0.05%, closing at $193.15, while Microsoft Corp. experienced a minor decrease of 0.16% and ended the day at $374.07. Alphabet Inc. Cl C also saw a decline of 0.97%, closing at $141.44.

Lower Trading Volume

The trading volume for Amazon.com Inc. on Wednesday was 31.2 million shares. While this figure may seem substantial, it was actually 21.5 million shares below the stock’s 50-day average volume of 52.6 million shares.
