(Cointelegraph) A survey by the Independent Reserve Cryptocurrency Index involving 1,000 Singaporeans has revealed that 43% of individuals own crypto assets.
The survey happens amid continued uptake of crypto by young Singaporeans, with 46% also planning to invest in digital assets in the next 12 months.
About two thirds of respondents aged 26-45 years own the cryptocurrencies.
93% of Singaporeans have heard of Bitcoin, with almost 40% describing it as an “investment asset” and 25% see it as a “store of value.
About three-quarters of those between 26-35years believe crypto assets will be widely used by businesses and individuals.
Analysts see Singapore as a potential crypto thriving destination due to its well-regulated financial markets and openness to new technologies.
