ADA Wallets Hit the Highest Ever in April, but User Activity Slowed Down

(CryptoCompare) A total of 5.20 million addresses held Cardano in April, a new record high and an increase of 2.99% from the previous month.

In the same month of April, the number of ADA hodlers hit 679,000 compared to 529,000 in March. Short-term traders fell by 44.6% to 377,000.

Data further revealed that the number of GitHub commits for Cardano improved slightly to 5,723 from 5,623 in March. The number of contributors on the platform was almost unchanged.

The record Cardano holders happens despite data showing that user activity on the blockchain was on the decline in April. The total monthly transactions on the platform were reported at 1.17 million, a decline of 62.2%.

Further slowdowns in Cardano activity were also illustrated by the average active addresses of 52,000, a decline of 57.7% from the previous month. The average daily new addresses fell 59.1% to 23,200.
