US Consumer Sentiment at a Decade-Low in November as Inflation Pressures Mount

(University of Michigan) The Index of Consumer Sentiment was at 66.8 in early November, down 6.8% from the previous month and the lowest since November 2011. 

The consumer sentiment is now down 13.1% from the prior year, weighed by rising consumer prices and falling confidence in government policy to tame the escalating costs.

The Current Economic Conditions index fell 5.8% from October to 73.2 in early November. The index has now fallen by 15.9% from the prior year.

The Index of Consumer Expectations was at 62.8 in early November, a decline of 7.5% from the previous month. The index has now registered a 10.9% decline from the prior year.
