(Airbus) Airbus SE reported revenues of 35.2 billion euros in the nine-month period of 2021, up by 17% from the comparable period of 2020. Revenues in the third quarter dropped by 6% to 10.518 billion euros.
The company attributes the improvement in the nine-month revenue to its efforts to cut costs and improve competitiveness as the global recovery continues to take shape.
Airbus reported a net income of 2.635 billion euros in the nine-month period, an improvement from a loss of 2.686 billion euros in the prior year. Net income in the third quarter was 404 million euros, up from a loss of 767 million euros in the comparable quarter of 2020.
In the nine-month period, Airbus delivered 424 commercial aircraft. It expects to deliver 600 commercial planes in total in 2021.
Adjusted EBIT was reported at 3.369 billion euros in the nine months, up from a loss of 125 million euros in the prior year. Adjusted EBIT was 666 million euros in the third quarter, down 19% from the previous year.
Airbus projects an adjusted EBIT of 4.5 billion euros in the FY21 and free cash flows of 2.5 billion euros.
