European Central Bank purchased €2.285T worth of bonds

ECB has purchased bonds worth €2.285T in the public sector purchase program (PSPP, QE) compared to the prior week’s €2.280T, as published by ECB.

  • The total Asset-Backed Security purchases till today are now moved up to €29.5B against the previous value of €29.6B.
  • European Central Bank has purchased a total of €233.1B under its corporate sector purchase program as compared to the previous amount of €231.1B
  • The total purchase of ECB under its covered bond purchase program 3 is now €286.0B against the previous amount of €285.3B
  • The total purchases of European Central Bank under the Pandemic Emergency Purchase program amount to €542.7B as compared to the prior amount of €526.6B in total. In June 2020, the size of the program was expanded to €1.35T from €750B.

European Central Bank’s bond buy is to be run at €20B per month with an additional amount of €120B/month as allocated under the latest Quantitative Easing program by the end of 2020.
